Chef, Hector Rivas
Hector was born in El Salvador and came to the states in 1985.  He’s lived on Nantucket since 1995 and has been in the restaurant industry ever since.  Once you taste his Traditional Stews and Fish n Chips, you’ll be convinced he “has a little irish in him”.

Taryn was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Florida.  Her passion of culinary arts landed her at the Art Institute of Dallas, which offered a culinary program.  After her school internship, she accepted a Front of the House position and has not cooked since.  A seasonal Nantucket resident since 1998, she’s now lived here year round since 2003.

Susan was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to the States after graduating from Trinity College in 1995. Susan worked in many island restaurants and this is where her love of the restaurant business took hold. While working at Anderson Publishing, Susan worked closely with John and Caroline on developing menus for The Hen House and Queequeg’s, so when the Kitty’s concept came to fruition it was the perfect fit!
